Lisa Squires
Northcote Chiropractic Centre - Lisa SquiresLisa was heavily involved in sports from an early age creating her interest in sports injury management and health & well being.

It is this interest that led Lisa to the study of the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT, graduating in 2000.

Upon graduating Lisa began working with the Heidelberg Football Club and Lalor Chiropractic Centre, prior to joining the team at the Northcote Chiropractic Centre in 2002. She has been successfully practicing full time in Myotherapy since. She plans to undertake further studies within the health field to continue to grow and develop her skills whilst continue to provide the highest quality treatment to her clients as a therapist.

Lisa is fulfilling her desire to work in a profession that she enjoys, while at the same helping others.

Her particular interests involve sporting injuries, headaches, overuse/RSI (ie. golfers/tennis elbow) , sciatica and by incorporating dry needling as a treatment (muscular needling) with her deep tissue massage where necessary, where she has found the results to be hugely successful. Dry needling is a powerful tool so be sure to discuss it with Lisa.
Michelle Mammana
Northcote Chiropractic Centre - Michelle Mammana
Michelle has recently completed her Bachelor of Health Science Clinical Myotherapy at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. This degree focuses strongly on modalities such as pain management, exercise prescription, dry needling and soft tissue mobilisation. Michelle has found that the combination of these and other modalities yields the most success in reducing musculoskeletal pain and stiffness as well as increasing flexibility and strength. In treatment, Michelle has experienced particular improvements in patient's pain by using a technique called dry needling. This involves acupuncture needles being inserted into dysfunctional muscle, resulting in decreased pain and tightness in the area. Assisting people in recovery, especially from chronic conditions has become a driving force in the way her treatment is developing as a clinical Myotherapist.
